Educational Qualifications
- Indian Military Academy: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Indian Naval Academy: Degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
- Air Force Academy: Bachelor’s degree (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or bachelor’s in Engineering.
- Officers’ Training Academy: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

UPSC CDS II Recruitment Notification 2025 Age Limit
Indian Naval Academy:
- Unmarried male candidates must be born between 2nd July 2002 and 1st July 2007.
Indian Military Academy (IMA):
- Unmarried male candidates must be born between 2nd July 2002 and 1st July 2007.
Air Force Academy: Candidates must be between 20 to 24 years of age as of 1st July 2026.
Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried.
UPSC CDS II Online Form 2025. Eligibility
Additional Requirement:
- Graduates who have selected Army, Navy, or Air Force as their first choice must submit proof of graduation or provisional certificates on the date of commencement of the SSB Interview at the SSB.
Air Force Academy:
- Candidates must hold a degree from a recognized university (with Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level) or a Bachelor of Engineering.
Indian Naval Academy:
- Candidates must have a degree in Engineering from a recognized university or institution.
Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA), Chennai:
Candidates must possess a degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
UPSC CDS II Online Form 2025. Salaray Pay Scale details
- Military Service Pay(MSP) to the officers from the rank of Lieutenant to Brigadier: Rs 15,500 p.m. fixed
- Stipend to OfficerCadetsduring the entire duration of training in Service academies i.e. during training period at IMA and OTA: Rs 56,100/-p.m.* (Starting pay in Level 10)
- Lieutenant: 56,100 -1,77,500
- Captain: 61,300- 1,93,900
- Major: 69,400 – 2,07,200
- Lieutenant Colonel: 1,21,200 – 2,12,400
- Colonel: 1,30,600-2,15,900
- Brigadier: 1,39,600-2,17,600
- Major General: 1,44,200-2,18,200
- Lieutenant General HAG Scale: 1, 82, 200-2,24,100
- HAG+Scale: 2,05,400 – 2,24,400
- VCOAS/Army Cdr/ Lieutenant General: 2,25,000/-(fixed)
