Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Technician Apprentice: Diploma in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/etc.) with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
- Graduate Apprentice: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
- Trade Apprentice (Fitter/Electrician): ITI certification in the respective trade.
- Data Entry Operator: 12th pass; Skill Certificate in “Domestic Data Entry Operator” (for some positions).
Age Limit:
- Minimum: 18 years.
- Maximum: 24 years as of 31 January 2025.
- Age relaxations:
- SC/ST: 5 years.
- OBC (NCL): 3 years.
- PWBD: 10 years.
Stipend Details
- Graduate Apprentice: ₹4,500 (by BOAT) + Additional amount by IOCL.
- Technician Apprentice: ₹4,000 (by BOAT) + Additional amount by IOCL.
- Trade Apprentice: Entire stipend paid by IOCL.
Final stipend details are subject to government and BOAT guidelines.
Selection Process
- Merit-based selection considering academic performance.
- In case of a tie:
- Older candidate based on date of birth will be given preference.
- If DOB is the same, higher marks in matriculation will be considered.
- Document verification and pre-engagement medical fitness are mandatory.
