Positions Available

BEL has opened a total of 350 vacancies across two engineering disciplines:

• Electronics Engineering: 200 posts
• Mechanical Engineering: 150 posts

These positions are distributed across BEL’s various units and offices in cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ghaziabad, Chennai, and others.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following requirements to apply:

Educational Qualification:

• A first-class degree in B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) in Electronics, Mechanical, or related disciplines from AICTE-approved colleges is required for candidates in the General, OBC (NCL), and EWS categories.
• Pass class is acceptable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories.
• Final-year students graduating by May/June 2025 are also eligible to apply. They must produce their degree certificates during joining if selected.

Age Limit:

• The maximum age for general candidates is 25 years as of January 1, 2025.
• Relaxations:
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • PwBD: 10 years (additional relaxations for SC/ST/OBC PwBD candidates).

Compensation and Perks

• Pay Scale: ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000 with an estimated annual CTC of ₹13 lakhs.

• Training and Service Agreement: Candidates will undergo a six-month orientation and on-the-job training. Upon selection, they must sign a service agreement for two years, with a penalty of ₹2,00,000 for early termination.

Selection Process

BEL follows a transparent, merit-based recruitment process comprising the following stages:

Computer-Based Test (CBT):

• Duration: 120 minutes.
• Structure:
  • 100 technical questions based on the candidate’s engineering discipline.
  • 25 aptitude and reasoning questions to evaluate analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Negative marking: 1/4th mark deducted for incorrect answers.
• Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  • General/OBC/EWS: 35%
  • SC/ST/PwBD: 30%

Interview:

• Candidates shortlisted from the CBT (in a 1:5 ratio) will be invited for interviews.
• Weightage: CBT (85%) and Interview (15%).

Final Selection: Candidates’ cumulative scores from the CBT and interview will determine their final selection.
